it looks like too much offset in the rear, but other than that it looks nice. Although it’s my least favorite body style of the WRX, it’s still cooler than most cars.

Nope. They came that flared from the factory
EDIT: To clarify, the early WRXs of this generation didn’t have the flares. The 08 had noting
Then they added a little flare for 2009
Then finally added the full STI flares for 2011 (The WRX STI had these flares from the beginning in 2008)
